Degree Requirements
M.S. Program
30 graduate credit hours – 10 graduate courses
The online MS is a non-thesis degree. The distribution of credits is as follows:
- 18 graduate credits in mechanical engineering (includes a maximum of 9 credits of directed research—ME 598)
- 3 graduate credits in mathematics
- 9 graduate credits of electives within or outside of mechanical engineering
Academic Advising
Admitted students are assigned an advisor to arrange an academic plan of study. This plan must be made before the first registration. The academic study plan is approved by the mechanical engineering graduate committee.
