The fire protection engineering faculty at WPI has practical experience in technology combined with solid academic disciplinary knowledge. All distance learning courses are developed and taught by the same qualified faculty who teach in our highly rated campus based programs.
WPI's fire protection engineering professors have practiced fire protection engineering in all areas ranging from consulting, design and insurance engineering to code development, lab testing, enforcement and fire investigation. They are contributing authors to key practice references such as the Society of Fire Protection Engineers and National Fire Protection Association handbooks, as well as academic and professional journals and other publications.
