Admissions
You must have earned the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree to be admitted into a WPI graduate degree or graduate certificate program. Your application will be reviewed based on your past academic performance, letters of reference, test scores, if required, and practical experience.
Upon admittance into a WPI program, you have the flexibility to take on-campus or distance courses as part of your program. You may take just one distance course or all distance courses to complete the degree requirements.
Taking Courses Prior to Admission
If you have a bachelor's degree or equivalent you can enroll in courses for your personal learning experience. Students are required to obtain permission prior to taking any Graduate Management Courses. Contact gmp@wpi.edu. You may request to have WPI courses transferred into a graduate certificate program or master's-level program. The number of courses you are allowed to transfer varies by program. Consult the graduate catalog for specific department regulations.
